But have always refused to make menudo. So he usually meets a friend on Sunday morning occasionally and they go out and eat it. So I decided to try to make it. Have it cooking now using your recipe. . Wish me luck. All our guests enjoyed it along with the Chicken Pozole I made; instead of all the pork I made it with chicken and consome (chicken bouillon)and it was fantastic. They both were as good as my great grandmother's. I think I was just missing a lil something all these years and your recipe had it.. Thank you so much for sharing... That is why it is called "Menudo Rojo" (Red Menudo). You end up with a red broth. It is not spicy at all. Trust me, try it this way... and you can modify it in the future but this is how it's done.Nathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01705907653188301814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5374759176620153903.post-86803477415405929282013-12-04T07:38:41.233-08:002013-12-04T07:38:41.233-08:00Hello:

He loves all kind of Menudos, vísceras y despojos (that's how we call them). I never tried pies de ministro with callos. However, in Catalonia we do Cap i Pota which is head and feet (ternera's head and lamb's feet).

I'm back... for the moment ;DNúriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09022880640891451797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5374759176620153903.post-75484924031383561302011-05-10T15:41:03.317-07:002011-05-10T15:41:03.317-07:00Hi Ivonne thanks for the visit, it could be consid...Hi Ivonne thanks for the visit, it could be considered the Mexican version of the Cuban "Pata y Panza" however out Pata y Panza is more similar to the "Callos a la Gallega" or "Callos a la Andaluza" that is consumed in Spain (tripe stewed with Garbanzos, sometimes chorizo and morcilla and has a sofrito often times or onion, garlic, bell pepper, etc.)I actually have my grandmother's recipe for it on my blog, see the link below :)

http://nathanscomida.blogspot.com/2009/06/potaje-de-garbanzo-con-pata-y-panza.html

I also have the recipe for "Potaje de Garbanzo Con Pata" (Chickpeas with Pigs Feet) that my grandmother taught me :)

http://nathanscomida.blogspot.com/2008/07/potaje-de-garbansos-con-patas-de-puerco.htmlNathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01705907653188301814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5374759176620153903.post-54900629041843820292011-05-10T08:15:26.619-07:002011-05-10T08:15:26.619-07:00I'm sure this tastes very good Nathan, and I w...I'm sure this tastes very good Nathan, and I would eat it if someone else would make it, but I'm a bit squeamish about the "parts". Is this similar to pata y panza? My aunt makes that, but she lives in California so I haven't had the opportunity to taste it either.Ivonnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00555850249529457418noreply@blogger.com
